ABOUT THIS ZINE
Instead of treating the ups and downs of grief as a moment of failure, consider that you are physically stitching a wound. Every peak and valley creates another stitch on your journey to recovery.
This is inspired by my own experiences with forest bathing and learning to reduce symptoms of grief and depression. Many tears were shed while crafting this zine and I feel that I was able to gain perspective and closure.
Developed for Falmouth University, this project required MA students to focus on a social issue. I chose to research the positive effects of forest bathing. While the studies so far have small sample sizes, there is a lot of tertiary evidence that supports the theory that forest walks can build resilience and reduce stress.
Using techniques learned from dialectical behavioural therapy, this zine tackles issues of grief, loneliness and depression.
